Different trailers rarely line up at the same height, and that’s where this mount makes life easier. The adjustable platform slides up or down the 2-1/2" shank in 1-3/8" increments so you can dial in the perfect drop or rise—up to 7-1/2" each way. It keeps your boat, camper, or hauler tracking level so towing feels steady and predictable.
When you’re pulling serious weight, a strong ball mount is peace of mind. This steel mount is rated for 18,000 lbs gross towing weight with the 2-5/16" ball and 7,500 lbs with the 2" ball. Very compact design for the amount of drop provided and the tow capacity ratings. Quite easy to adjust height and the fold the ball mount under for storage with no bruised shins.
After doing some research and trying to figure out what style and brand of ball mount to get…..I settled on this B&W product. Its nice to have the ability to adjust your ball mount for different trailers just in case you need to. Being a machinist, I found that this was very well made……no burrs anywhere, clean welds, very nice powder coat finish and packed in heavy duty cardboard to prevent hopefully no issues with shipping.
Convenient. One thing bothers me about this hitch, and that’s the noise. It’s very noisy and rattles. I bought anti rattle clamp and the rubber silencers but still makes noise. Also it always looks pointing inward toward the truck, it always catches my attention when I do a walk around.
Incredibly easy to adjust and to switch ball sizes, and only requires a single locking pin. Built like a brick s*%thouse. Does not come with a hitch pin, so you'll need one before you can use it. Don't forget to get an extra long one for class V hitch.

This ball mount is extremely heavy duty. I had a stock class IV hitch and aftermarket ball mount on my Ram 3500 SRW and it was bending towing a 14000 lb dump trailer. I upgraded to a class V hitch and this mount and it's working great. I have 6 trailers that I pull with gooseneck, 5th wheel and ball hitches. The only 1 that uses 1 7/8" ball is a little 5x8 utility trailer that I'm converting to 2" so I got the 2 ball instead of the 3. When turned sideways it works as a step to get into the truck but only if the tailgate is up. It doesn't stick out far enough when the tailgate is open.
The reason for 1 less star is the documentation; you need more information to make the best choice. I originally ordered a different PN and it hung way too low bc is mounted under the existing hitch. To remove the stock hitch, you also remove the integrated mounting brackets for the bumper. I ordered a PN for a truck without a hitch and cut off the receiver tube with a torch. Also, I upgraded the 3 1/2" exhaust to 4" and now at idle the exhaust rattles on the much larger frame of the class V but a slight modification in planned to take care of that. Installation was fairly straighforward once I removed the original receiver tube.
Shipping was quick and the price was reasonable. This hitch is very sturdy and well built. The hitch maneuvers easily and isn't an issue adjusting.
This is a quality product and easy to use, i have ordered quite a few of these for our fleet vehicles, and when we sold some vehicles, just removed the hitch and put it in the new vehicle.
Perfect drop for Ram 2500. Hitch is quality built and the stow feature is really convenient.
I needed a new ball mount for my 2017 F250 King Ranch (FX4 Off Road). This truck is tall and I needed significant drop to level out my trailer. I had experience with this type mount from my old truck, a 1999 F350, and I used a "Quick Draw" hideaway hitch. Not sure if that is the same as B&W but they look alike. This is a great product and looks great on my new truck. etrailer was super easy to deal with , shipped right away and the product, very heavy, was shipped is a solid shipping box. I also got the locking hitch pin to protect my investment (which was a way better design than the Master Locking pin I had on my old truck). The 7 1/2 inch drop is a perfect fit. Thanks etrailer!

Both products are still performing and looking great. I’ve had numerous people ask where I got them particularly the stowaway hitch and I tell them to check out etrailer.com before they buy locally.
Works great on my 2024 Ram 3500. I've had it for a year now and I'm very happy with it.
Went with the B&W due to the length of the shaft going into the receiver. My 2024 Ram's receiver is recessed under the bumper. This hitch is long enough to accept my Towtector product. Similar to Rock Tamers. Also, Brittany in customer service was awesome to work with as she guided me towards the product that worked for my application.

After a year of using the product I couldnt be happier. The second hole in the shank allows enough room to attach the Toe Tector Rock Tamer product.
So far so good. Using it to pull several different trailers all of a different height. No issues. Appears to be a really well built piece of equipment

Have only used it a few times, but it worked just like it should every time. Did make one trip pulling full enclosed trailer 2200 miles, no issues.
Great product! And excellent service from etrailer.
My question was the required drop for my truck using this hitch. I have a 2022 RAM 2500 Big Horn 4x4 with 6.7. Stock height and tire size for this truck. The 7.5 inch drop is perfect for trailer to run level, and I still have one more position to move down if needed.
This is my 2nd B&W Tow and stow, previous one was for a 2” receiver (for my previous truck). I was using a sleeve to be able to use in my now 2.5” receiver, but I feel safer with an upgraded hitch and tongue weight limits. Put it on the truck today, RAM 2500.
Excellent product. It gives me the flexibility to adjust to the different trailers I pull. Great quality and strength. Gives me peace of mind knowing I have a secure connection to my trailer.
Bought for stock 2026 F350. Works perfectly and as described. Super helpful input from Adam re:sales and question about locking pin. Helpful, knowledgeable, called me and left VM with direct line to call back.
Probably could have done 5” drop instead for stock height but still plenty of clearance.

Yup. this is the bomb in terms of hitches. leave it attached to my F250 basically all the time. Both my dump trailer and RV have 2 5/16", but nice to have the 2" readily available in case it is needed. and so nice to fold it back under out of the way without taking the whole hitch off. it is well designed and well made.
Everything you can expect from a towball mount. It is a quality build.I had the 3” shank mount on my old truck. The new truck has a 2 1/2” receiver, so there was no doubt as to which brand I was going to buy. The stow option is convenient when it’s needed. It can be a shin saver!

Haven’t towed anything with it yet. I’m excited I can now switch between my four different trailers and keep my Rock Tamers always on the truck. My only wish is that the shank was just a tad longer for when the rock tamers are installed and that it was a solid steel piece.
